Joseph Tavano, CA HBComm

Joe Tavano qualified as a CA with the largest international accounting firm known to serve the owner managed business market after completing his Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Honours from McMaster University in 1998.

 

Based on his academic successes, Joe went on to become a coach and eventually a marker for the national Uniform Final Exam.

As Joe continued to branch out and increase his diverse portfolio of public companies and privately owned businesses, he focused his attention on assurance and assumed the training role in the Greater Toronto Area for a national accounting firm. He provided guidance to other staff members on process improvement, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, assurance engagements and business advisory services.

During his departure from public accounting Joe held positions at several public companies in Canada. He has assisted financial analysts publish equity research in the Canadian and International market place and built financial models used by investors and investment bankers. More recently, Joe was a Senior Director, and assisted with the implementation, documentation and testing of internal controls at a major Canadian financial institution.

Current clients include engagements involving special assistance with financial statement preparation of clients undergoing CCAA, Internal Control documentation and testing, performing audits of Publicly Traded companies, as well as, regular tax planning and compliance with individuals and corporate clients.
